Way to play Cougars!
The BYU Racquetball team had the opportunity to travel to Arizona State University to be a part of the 2024 Collegiate National Racquetball Championship from March 13th-16th, and what a tournament it was! The women repeated as National Champions and Tim Jack, the number 1 player on the team, had 2 BYU program defining matches where he made it farther than any BYU man has in BYU history! He ended up taking 2nd place overall in a thrilling tie-breaker match for the national championship.
At the conclusion of the tournament, BYU walked away with three trophies. The team won 2nd place overall, 1st place in Women's, and 2nd place in Men's. It was a very successful tournament. They worked hard to get there, and the results proved just that! Each of BYU's top 6 players for the men's and women's teams achieved All-American Status. This meant that each player placed 4th or higher in their respective divisions. What a privilege it was for the team to be able to play the sport they love, against very talented individuals. Thank you to everyone who helped them accomplish their goals along the way!
